Art Under the Elms is one of Idaho's longest-running juried art festivals, held on the Lewis-Clark State College campus in Lewiston. Three days of fine art, live entertainment, and food draw thousands of visitors from across the LC Valley and beyond.

Why it's worth the trip

Because it's a juried show, the quality is consistently high. Artists apply with product images and booth photos, and a jury picks participants based on originality and craftsmanship. The people who come here expect handmade work and are happy to pay for it.

What to expect

  • Juried fine art across a wide range of media
  • Live music and entertainment all weekend
  • Food vendors with plenty of options
  • A campus setting with big trees and open green space
  • Thousands of visitors from the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley

Application info

Art Under the Elms requires a jury application. You'll need to submit product images plus a booth photo showing your display setup. The deadline is typically late January, so plan ahead if you want to participate.

About Lewiston

Lewiston sits where the Snake and Clearwater rivers meet in the LC Valley. It's about a two-hour drive south from Moscow and roughly three hours from Coeur d'Alene. The April timing means you'll usually get pleasant spring weather.
