June marks the start of the summer Art Walk season in downtown Coeur d'Alene. On the second Friday of the month, galleries along Sherman Avenue open their doors for extended evening hours, and artists set up along the sidewalks to showcase their work.
What to Expect
The Art Walk is a relaxed stroll through downtown — no tickets, no schedule to follow. Just wander from gallery to gallery, check out the sidewalk artists, and enjoy the warm summer evening. Many galleries offer refreshments, and local restaurants are usually buzzing too.
Summer Art Walk Schedule
The CdA Art Walk runs monthly through the summer:
- June 12 — Season opener
- July 10 — Mid-summer edition
- August 14 — Late summer
Each month features different artists and exhibits, so it's worth catching more than one.
About Downtown CdA
Sherman Avenue is the heart of Coeur d'Alene's walkable downtown. Between the Art Walk stops, you can pop into boutiques, grab dinner, or walk down to the lake. The whole area is easy to navigate on foot with plenty of nearby parking.
