The Trout Creek Huckleberry Festival is a small-town celebration of the beloved purple berry that defines summer in the northern Rockies. Located just over the Montana border, Trout Creek hosts a weekend of huckleberry-themed food, craft vendors, and community fun.
All Things Huckleberry
If you love huckleberries, this is your festival. Expect huckleberry pies, jams, ice cream, lemonade, and creative takes on the berry that only come out once a year. Local vendors bring their best huckleberry products alongside handmade crafts and art.
Small-Town Charm
Trout Creek is tiny — and that's part of the appeal. The festival takes over the town center and has the feel of a neighborhood block party where everyone's invited. It's the kind of event where you'll end up in a conversation with a stranger and leave with a new friend (and probably a bag full of huckleberry jam).
Getting There
Trout Creek is in western Montana, accessible via MT-200. It's a scenic drive through mountain valleys from North Idaho — plan for about 2 hours from Sandpoint. The drive itself is worth the trip.
