Huckleberries are a big deal in this part of the world. They can't be farmed commercially, which makes them special — every huckleberry is hand-picked in the wild. The festival celebrates this with huckleberry treats everywhere you turn: pies, milkshakes, pancakes, jam, and more creative concoctions than you'd expect.

About Wallace

Wallace calls itself "The Center of the Universe" — they even have a manhole cover marking the spot. This former silver mining town has reinvented itself as a charming tourist destination with amazing architecture, quirky shops, and a community that loves a good party. The drive down I-90 through the Silver Valley is gorgeous too.
